The Highland Institute of Music was begun to
develop and encourage God-given musical talents to each individual's fullest
measure.

Highland Institute of Music offers the following
fields of instruction: piano, voice, instrumental, and music theory.
Piano students who have completed the second grade
through adult will be accepted. Instrumental students are required to have access to their
instrument of study. Voice students are encouraged to begin after voice change through
adult.
Enrollment is open to all, regardless of church
affiliation. Applications of enrollment are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
To enroll, call the church to pick up an enrollment form and return it to the church.
Semesters are sixteen weeks in length. At the
conclusion of the semester, all students currently enrolled will have the first option to
continue on to the next semester.
The semester will conclude with a Highland Institute
of Music Recital, with all students participating. Check the Yearly Calendar on the Home
Page for the date.
Instructors will prepare students for the end of
semester recital. Highland Institute of Music will provide accompanists for voice and
instrumental students. Lessons are private and are for a length of 30 minutes.
The instructors are selected on criteria of
educational background, experience, and Christian values. Instructors are in three basic
groups;
- Music Degree
- Experience degree equivalent
- University level music student
Piano Instruction - $176 per semester,
payable in monthly installments of $44.00 per month, due the 15th of each month.
Voice Instruction - $176 per semester,
payable in monthly installments of $44 per month due the 15th of each month.
Instrumental Instruction - $176
per semester, payable in monthly
installments of $44.00 per month, due the 15th of
each month.
When paying by check, make check payable to Highland
Baptist Church. To insure proper credit, write H.I.M. and the student's name on the check.
Payments should be made to the administration office
of Highland Baptist Church. A monthly invoice will be sent before the first of each month.
Receipts for payments will be given on request.
