Children - Highland has
a fully graded choir structure. Tiny Melodies is for 4 & 5 year olds. Young
Musicians encompasses 1st grade through 6th grade. These choirs
sing in church during the year and present a full program at Christmas and in the spring.
Childrens choirs rehearse each Sunday afternoon during the school year at 5:30 p.m.
Youth
- Our youth blend their excitement for a contemporary sound with their youthful
vitality. Our Youth Choir meets on Wednesday afternoons at 5:30 p.m. This
choir regularly sings for worship. They also present a Christmas
musical and prepare spring musicals that are sung on a summer choir
tour and for the church.
University
- University students are encouraged to praise our Lord through music and
fellowship and join our adult choir for rehearsal each Wednesday at
7:15 PM.
Adult
- The Adult Choir sings in the morning worship service each
Sunday. This talented, volunteer group also prepares special programs around Christmas,
Easter, and Fourth of July. The Adult Choir practices at 7:15 p.m. each Wednesday evening
in the Choir Room.
Senior Adult
- The Kings Choir meets each Sunday
morning at 8:30 a.m. in the
Choir Room. The King's Choir sings and ministers to people in
various nursing homes in the area. They also regularly
participate in the Highland "Super Sunday Choir" and
represent Highland as they sing and minister on church tours.
Many talented instrumental players are used to
augment our worship time through ensemble work and instrumental solos. They also provide
instrumentation for many choir presentations.
Handbells
Our handbells meet on Wednesday evenings at
6:30 p.m..
We enjoy playing a two-octave set of Malmark handbells.
Soloists
We use soloists each Sunday in both morning and
evening worship. We are always excited to add new soloists to our corps of singers.
