PRAYER  TRIPLETS

 WHAT IS HIGHLAND'S
PRAYER TRIPLETS?

It is a group of three believers who commit to pray together for 10 times over 100 days between May 30 and September 4. A group of three is used because it creates a situation where people feel free to participate and be themselves. In such a small group individuals are not as hesitant to share dreams and concerns.
Mutual trust and self confidence are created. The group is large enough to form a team and to reach meaningful conclusions and solutions. In such a group people care for one another and the individuals can be cared for.

PRAYER TRIPLET TEAMS

As much as possible, the following guidelines will be used to make up the triplet teams.

- they should not be members of their household, close friends or relatives
- they should be people of a different age group, length of time connected with the church and perspective on the life and ministry of the congregation
- they should be willing to enter into a no-exit relationship. This means that each person will agree to stay actively connected to the triplet for the 100 days, even though there may be some challenging moments as the triplets seek to deal with significant and meaningful issues.

Triplet participants should share their personal hopes and dreams, as well as their affirmations, challenges and vision for their church. In their triplet meetings, they will be asked to pray out loud for one another and their congregation.

WHAT WILL WE PRAY FOR?

Prayer triplets can pray for anything. Our desire is for the groups to pray for God's direction in Highland's pursuit of her full kingdom potential. As we develop a new hunger for the Word and a deeper relationship with God, we should pray that all of our church family would grow toward:

- a deeper experience of worship
- a stronger desire for spiritual growth
- a sense of urgency to spread the gospel message
- a personal walk with Christ
- a greater sense of commitment to the church family and its ministries
- a deeper concern for our country and its leaders
