Our Education Ministry Team

Highland Baptist is committed to a complete program of ministries for every age group. Supported by a specially trained team of age-group ministers/directors, these programs of nurture provide opportunities for Bible study, fellowship, care, outreach and mission service. We encourage our members to grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and to live a life that reflects and compliment the teachings of the Jesus.

Our Bible Study Ministry

The heart of our ministry program is Sunday School which meets at 9:30 AM . Through small, age-grouped classes, the Sunday School makes it possible for our people to study the Word of God as it relates to issues of life and faith in a setting where they are known by name and cared for in a personal way.

We use the BIBLE BOOK curriculum from Lifeway Christian Resources in all of our Sunday school classes, except for the university area.

We have Bible Study groups for every age group from bed babies to retirement centers. Each group studies the Bible as it applies to their level of experience and maturity. Our goal for every age group is not only that they learn the Bible, but that they are encouraged to live their lives as a "light in the midst of a perverse generation".

Our Adult Sunday School is divided into ten departments, beginning at age 20. We are sensitive to the different needs of these diverse groups, and the leadership in each department seeks to offer a broad range of activities and studies to meet the needs of their age-group members. The leadership organizes the departments to minister each other and to provide opportunities to minister to others.
